1 thing that woul dhelp a lot is, th ereturn of the editor's note boxes. you know, the little boxes that used to appear in the corner of certain panels that tell you "this story takes place before/after issue....." or "be sure to read .......... before reading this issue".
also, for me, i know buddy's origin and his basic back story so i don't worry about "pre-crisis", "post-crisis", "post-zero hour", etc. i keep up on what's been retconned and what is still a factor but once it's "no longer in continuity", it doesn't matter.
don't get me wrong, i'm not getting rid of any of my animal m an appearances that are "no longer in continuity". you never know when it'll be back in continuity.

IF Hypertime would be back after the Final Crisis, everything will be continuity.
I respect your opinion, 1573.

So it's just a matter of how old he looked in the story? Couldn't that be expained by artist interpretation on the character? We seem to be doing that alot lately with the current storylines and Animal Mans costume. OH NO. I've just read number 51 from 52... and they made his boots "undulatory" again, when at this point they were supposed to be "straight" and very conventional. I'm going to kill myself now!

Yeah I died inside long ago. Now I'm a shell of my former self. A delicious candy coated shell....................full of poop.

Buddy doesn't even have a secret origin. He just has an origin. I always thought he diidn't keep what happened to him a secret. He told Ellen at least, and Batman probably knows, although I don't know how. He just seems to know everything.

I bet Buddy told to almost everyone about the incident he had, some time after it happened. It's in his attitude. He's clear... straight... transparent.

this is the same man who walks freely around his house in costume. even if he tried to keep it a secret, cliff and maxine would be telling friends i'm sure. hell, he even went on national tv to promote himself.

He seems almost as desperate for fame and fortune as Booster Gold.

He seems almost as desperate for fame and fortune as Booster Gold. No, no, no, just in the beginning. He was so frustrated. I mean: he got real powers and wasn't even doing his thing as superhero out of there. That would kill everyone, I bet.
