Now that Animal Man has gotten even more exposure in 52, and an upsurge in popularity not seen since Morrison's days, I, like everyone else here, hopes that DC gives him a new ongoing series..if any character deserves it, Buddy does! Unfortunately, as we know, Grant has, alas, written his last Animal Man story, for the foreseeable future at least. So, I'm hoping that if they do, they'll find a worthy writer and artist to work on Animal Man. So, I thought I'd ask everyone, if they were to make a new Animal Man title, what would be your writer/artist dream team to work on it(of course, I know everyone would say Grant, myself included, but, unfortunately, he won't be writing Animal Man anymore for the foreseeable future ) So, what writer and artists do you think could do a good job on Buddy for the time being? Personally, I'd like to see Geoff Johns give it a try as a writer, and as for an artist, I'd like to see Ethan Van Sciver give it a try, I like his style..but, for covers, there's nobody that can do A-Man covers like Brian Bolland! J.G. Jones did a good job with Buddy on the 52 covers, too, if they couldn't get Brian. There's probably others that could do a good job as a creative team, but I can't think of any besides theses right now. But, I'd like to hear what you guys think about your dream creative team for a new Animal Man ongoing should be.

IN all regards,
What's about CHAS TRUOG? I love his work, he's outstanding. I would like to read ALAN MOORE's take on the character. I think Alan would be the best choice at this point. Maybe the last one left since Morrison departed. Nobody could beat Morrison... Moore apart. This is my humble opinion.
Still, ANIMAL MAN (#1-#26) is far more superior than WATCHMEN.

I definitely agree with everything you guys have said. Alan Moore would be friggin' awesome writing A-Man! I also agree with Peter David..he's one of my favorite writers, I don't know why I didn't think of him earlier. His work on Hulk, Aquaman, and Marvel's Captain Marvel are all great stuff...and, he's written Buddy before. If there's anyone on here who hasn't read anything by Peter David, go and read his Hulk stuff, especially Hulk: The End, great work. Another writer I think might be able to do a good job on Buddy is Gail Simone, I like the stuff she's doing with the new Atom(didn't think I would, 'cause I see Ray Palmer as the Atom, always.) Anyway, she writes some pretty cool stuff, adding alot of weirdness into the Atom's storyline, and I think she could do the same for Buddy, since, as we know from experience, A-Man and weirdness go hand-in-hand...and we like it that way! ;D And here's a couple more artists I think could do a good job: Dan Jurgens and Tom Mandrake(I have his A-Man cosmic teams card, which is outstanding)..oh, and don't forget Steve Dillon; I thought he did a pretty good A-Man as well.

Kurt Busiek or Brad Meltzer would be my ideal choice for writers, although Peter David would also do a good job.

Yeah, I definitely agree with Busiek and Meltzer too. Kurt really knows his comics history, and I think he would do a good job with Buddy. I think Keith Giffen or John Ostrander might be able to do a good job too; Giffen's writing can be quirky and humorous, which an A-Man comic needs, as long as he didn't make it too comedic; and I think Ostrander could do a good job, because I really liked his Spectre and Martian Manhunter, so long as he doesn't make everything too metaphysical. Oh, and I think Mark Waid(who wrote Buddy's secret origin pages in 52) would also do a great job. Just look what he did for the Flash and Fantastic Four.
