More Buddy in this one. He finishes off his story with Vixen, where they are just wrapping up a training session testing out their powers. Vixens are back to normal (animal powers) and Buddy still has the Universal Animal powers he got in 52 (sweet!)

Both Vixen and Dinah offer Buddy a position in the JLA, but he says he's not up for "saving the world" type stuff, he's a small time hero and he likes it. Vixen says "that's cool Buddy, but you know no one ever truly leaves the JLA" then gives him a kiss on the cheek.

It was nice to see McDuffie wrap this up, and answer our Qs about Buddys powers. The issue on a whole was very good, brought in some of the old Milestone characters. I recommend it, if not for Buddy, then for the overall story itself.

So what do we discover about his powers we didn't know before?

If you read the Anansi storyline, Anansi screwed around with his powers, returning them to their original form. It wasn't stated after this if they would remain as such, or go back to their new form.

When I asked McDuffie, all he said was "they are fixed."

Now we know by "fixed" he means they are what they have been since 52.


If you recall, that storyline had Buddy thinking the Yellow Aliens were fakes, but like I thought, it was all just lies.
