So?
I just loved the first book, even if I found this "new" Animal Man too derivative from Moore's Swamp Thing. He's basically the "Swamp Thing" of the flesh world. No originality. But I loved the stories anyway.
And for Christ's sake... the new-new-new-new retconning of his origins is unlogical this time. So the Agents were just "illusions" generated by the Red...? Give me a break! LOL.

honestly, i hated the new 52 as a whole. sorry to say, that includes animal man. i gave it a fair try but ended up dropping all DC books. i stuck with animal until it ended. and even gave the justice league united book a try for 2 or 3 issues. i hated what DC had done to, not only animal man, but to a lot of my other favorite characters. then once DC rebooted again with rebirth, i thought i would give some books a try. started with 8 books and now down to only 2. for me, DC needs to find a way back to to the pre-flasshpoint/new 52 continuity. otherwise i don't see me getting back into their comics like i was.
