"VERTIGO LION" issued the Peter Milligan run (#27-#35) for the very first time, under the guise of a single deluxe volume. What can I say? It's a mixed bag. I don't like the many pencillers involved here, Troug seems very weak and unfocused, a shadow of his former self. Milligan uses too many ideas crammed into the same storyline, and the final result is a train wreck of some sort. I liked some twists, okay, and absolutely loved Nowhere Man and his former "superhero" peers. I loved Lucinda. It's just that the whole run is a mess. An interesting mess, of course, but still a mess. Milligan's writing seems very subpar when compared to his magnificent work on 'SHADE'. I'm looking forward Veidt's run...

I forgot to say: Buddy barely wears his costume. I don't like how he uses his powers, Milligan doesn't "explore" new, surprising animal powers like Morrison used to do.
