Hi A-Men,
Well, this is something that really pis*es me off.
In the first Animal Man TRADE PAPERBACK (Volume One), in the panel where Buddy flies off wearing his "new" A-Man costume (featuring the jacket)... for the very FIRST TIME after the disillusional TV program where he was re-introduced to the mass as superhero...
The colours of the costume are all reverted!
I spotted wrong colouration other times through the tradebacks... for example, in Tooth and Claws.
Can you confirm it? Maybe it's related ONLY to the Italian releases of the trade paperbacks... I hope so! I can't believe DC Comics didn't "fix" such errors before releasing the trade paperbacks.
I can't conceive that! We're talking about an absolute masterwork.

In mine on page 20 of TPB vol 1 Buddy has an orange jacket in the first two panels.

Maybe it was a "gimmick" to show that Buddy was indeed "absorbing" animal abilities... the jacket appears orange in coincidence with the powers. So maybe it was just a "graphical way" to express Buddy's absorbing and make it evident to viewers. |

1 explaination to why some have the mis-colored panels and some don't could be the printing.
say you have a 1st print (or an early print) w/ a mis-colored portion.
then by the time it goes back for a 2nd print, they fixed it mistake.
or, it could very well be just a glitch in the printers themselves.
i will look again when i have time but i don't recall any mis-colored panels or anything in my copies of all 3 trade paperbacks.
as for buddy moving to marvel, i woul dlove to see a team up between my favorite dc hero (animal man) and my favorite marvel hero, cable.
an odd pairing i know, but i would still love to see it.

But if I didn't; I would Milligan and maybe Prosser. i own all of the originals too and the 1st 3 trades. haveing the trades stops me from haveing to always pull out the comics whenever i want to read them or have to look something up. plus, all my trades are on a bookshelf and my comics are stored on a little loft above the bedroom. my comics aren't as easily accessable as the bookshelf. |

I know mine too. That's why I mostly buy trades now. The only problem is waiting for the trades to finally come out. It takes forever.
