Hello. Thanks for your response. I find other cultures fascinating. The game I play the most is civilization 4. It sounds like you greatly admire their culture/way of life. You mentioned, and I quote " It's also changing very fast, with a vastly growing, western-influenced, educated middle class." Aren't you afraid that this western influence will change it? I can appreciate the ideal that you mentioned where everyone isn't in competition with everyone else. That is one of the very things I hate most about western culture. Everybody has heard of the phrase, "Keeping up with the Joneses." If no one had an I-pod, you wouldn't care that you didn't either. You can't miss what no one's got. It leads to a very simpler life, less hectic, less stressful. I'm afraid that the massive crowds of people in India would stress me out more than the simpler lifestyle would de-stress it. I don't think happiness is a destination to arrive at, it's a mode of travel. I like to look for the little pleasures. Like talking to you fine folk. I hope you achieve your hearts desire. ;D

Thanx guys ;-)
The western influence has and will change(d) many things but it can't destroy a 4000 years-old civilization. India is looking for a balance and that's one of its challenges for the next 50 years. But yeah, they like i-pods too! lol!
