Don't know how many of you read this interview with Grant about Buddy and 52, but it was excellent. forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=111900I have a question though....WTF does Vertigo have ANY say in how to use Animal Man (or Swamp Thing for that matter)? How does the strange, often perverted, lower sales, little step-child comic imprint of DC have so much power?!!!?

Someone (an editor?) persuaded the main heads of the DC Comics company that A-Man was somehow too weird to belong to the mainstream flux of events. Which is totally wrong because - despite all the unusual characteristics he features and the odds he has to face - Buddy is first and foremost a CLASSIC superhero. I'm willing to accept as post-Morrison "canon" only Peter Milligan's run, because it is much more adherent to the character. An hybrid man/animal god? Give me a break.
